If you're not in a store, how can you find out what size (a,b,c) the aeron chair is?
To determine which size Aeron Chair you have, rotate your chair until you are viewing the back of the chair. Place your hand on the top of the back frame that is shaped like a handle. On the back side of the piece are raised dots indicating which size chair you have. Three dots are used for size C chairs, two dots for size B and one dot for size A.

can i add casters to the setu side chair?
The Setu Side Chair is only available with glides at this time. The glides cannot be changed for casters for this chair because the base is designed to fit glides only.

Based on Classic Aeron. Designers: Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick. All the ergonomic and aesthetic features of the classic Aeron office chair—Pellicle woven suspension material, PostureFit technology, Kinemat Tilt—along with an adjustable footring create a high-performance work stool.
Size C?
I see the work stool does not come in Size C. All parts except the seat frame and the back frame appear to be the same regardless of size. I'm more concerned with the seat frame than the back frame. Can I or my dealer just order a replacement size C seat frame and install it on this stool to make the seat a bit wider? Would I need a C size back frame too for the bolts to line up properly? Thanks.
We would not recommend switching the seat frame on the Aeron Stool with a size C seat frame. There are different caps on the tilt that allow the arms to be just the right size to accommodate the Aeron Stool B size seat and back. Also, the stool has not been tested for stability with a size C seat and back on the size B frame, so we would not recommend changing out the components.

How do I get the "higher" wheels so the middle post doesn't catch on the carpet? Are these the floor/carpet ones?
If you are using your Aeron Chair on carpet, we would recommend choosing either the option for 'Carpet Casters' or 'Hard Floor or Carpet Casters.'

Is there a way to order this table with a smaller than 36" diameter top?
I am interested in a 29" or 30" diameter surface, if possible.
At this time, the Eames Table with Round Top and Universal Base is offered with a 36 inch diameter top. We recently added an outdoor version of the table that is available with either a 30 or 36 inch diameter top. The 30 inch diameter table can be viewed here:

Designers: Charles and Ray Eames. The lounge chair and ottoman have their origin in Charles and Ray’s investigations into molding plywood and a desire to improve upon a familiar fixture in many living rooms: the lounge chair. Citing the English club chair as inspiration, Charles said he sought to design a modern version of that chair, one that had “the warm receptive look of a well-used first basemans mitt.� Almost immediately, the design became an icon of American design. Today, these pieces not only live in museums, but continue to offer comfort and style to interiors around the world. A universally recognized form, the set is available in a variety of veneers, multiple leather options, and two sizes. Whatever selection you make, you can be assured of the quality and authenticity of this design.
I'd like further info on the difference between the regular veneered surface and the oiled finished surface. Is it simply a matter of the finish?
Our standard finish is an oil-based lacquer, which is how we have been finishing the Eames Lounge and Ottoman for many decades. It is a finishing process that has been created and tested so our chairs will maintain their quality over time, with only dusting needed to maintain the finish. Our veneer options of Natural Cherry Stained Veneer, Walnut Veneer and Santos Palisander Veneer have our standard finish.
Our original Eames Lounge and Ottoman was created with a hand oiled finish, which is an option that some of our customers have been longing for. Over the years, we re-introduced the original Santos Palisander Veneer (an environmentally friendlier version of the original Brazilian Rosewood), which brought back much of the original character of the chair. The remaining ingredient for customers who want to purchase a chair that closely replicates the original look was to bring back the hand oiled finish.
For each chair that we create with this finish, our team in Michigan hand oils the veneer pieces over the course of several days before the chair is assembled. The hand oiled finish requires a little more care for the owner and has a lower sheen than our standard finish. With the hand oiled finish, you will need to re-oil in the first few years and be careful not to use wax based dusting products. We offer the hand oiled finish both as Oiled Walnut and Oiled Santos Palisander.
