Designers: Charles and Ray Eames. Often called the “surfboard table.� Whatever you call it, the Eames Wire Base Elliptical table makes it clear that good design never goes out of style.
Formaldehyde in laminate top?
Is there formaldehyde present in the glues used for the Elliptical Table, laminate top and are they made with non-VOC glues and coatings?
There are trace amounts of Formaldehyde present in the glues used on the Eliptical Table. Herman Miller does comply with the strictest uses of Formaldehyde and is compliant with California 93120. How do I move the headpiece up?
I saw someone in my office that had the head piece up but I can't figure out how to do it... I don't want to break it but it looks like there is a hinge so it should be able to.
The back of the Embody chair is designed as one structural unit and does not have a headrest option or the capability to add one. Will this scratch wood floors?
Hi, thinking of ordering 4 for a conference table. We have wood floors. Will this scratch them or is there a screw etc. for some kind of protection or felt? Cannot seem to find pictures of the bottom of the chair. Thanks in advance.
We do recommend the Sled Base-Glides version of the Aeron Side chair for use on hard floor surfaces. The glide is a plastic glide that snaps into the frame without the use of a screw. Here is a photo of the glide when installed on the chair.

Weight Limitations
I couldn't find this information about any of the chairs anywhere, but what is the weight that these chairs are rated for? I am 6'6" and 370 lbs, and most chairs are lucky to make it 2 years I've used. It doesn't help that I'm a bit of a leaner.
Aeron, Embody, and Mirra chairs are rated and tested to 300 pounds. Celle, Sayl, and Mirra 2 chairs are rated and tested to 350 pounds.
We do offer a 12 year warranty and should there be any issues with your chair during the warranty period, Herman Miller will repair or service the chair at no cost to you.

I wanted to know if you can sit confortably at the table's narrow side? Or the x legs prevent yoy from having enough space? Im thinking of usi g this table with the Eames moñded plywood dining chairs with metal legs...
You can absolutetly sit comfortably at the table's narrow side without concern. The Eames molded plywood dining chairs with metal legs would be a beautiful combination paired with the Neslon X leg table.

Designer: Isamu Noguchi. An updated archival piece from 1949, the Noguchi Rudder Table is a sculptural and deceptively simple coffee table designed by Isamu Noguchi. It stands on two chrome hairpin legs and one in wood reminiscent of a ship’s rudder. Graceful and visually light, it is available in Walnut, Ebony, or White Ash finish options.
Are the borders of the top different from the borders or edges of the wood legs?
I am very interested in this table, WHITE ASH color, but I am very confused by the pictures in different websites
I would like to know if the borders of the top are different from the borders or edges of the wood leg, the borders of the top look like they are not round, like you can see the different layers of the veneer

The edges of the wood leg (Rudder) are always solid and you do not see the plies, or different layers of the veneer. The table top edges do show the plies with the exception of our Ebony on Maple finish because the Ebony overlay covers the veneer plies.

Citing the English club chair as inspiration, Charles said he sought to design a modern version of that chair, one that had “the warm receptive look of a well-used first basemans mitt.� Almost immediately, the design became an icon of American design. Black leather options
Of the different grades of black leather, which would be the most resilient and most durable? I currently have 1 chair and ottoman in standard black leather over Palisander. I am considering a second set and would like to know if a leather upgrade would advisable. Thanks in advance for your help.
Both the Standard and MCL leather options are commercial grade quality and either would be a good option for your Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman.
Our standard leather has a more uniform look in appearance. It has a faint embossed grain pattern and little shine. This leather is going to look the same over time with minimal wrinkling and less of a patina (natural toning) that you get with the MCL.
MCL is made from the very best European leather we could find. While most contract leathers are sanded and pressed to make the grain look more uniform, MCL is made from 100% all grain hides, with an inherent natural beauty that gives each piece its own distinct characteristics. It has a medium grain, medium shine, will show more wrinkles over time and have more of a patina. MCL is a nice upgrade from the standard leather for the price.

level of comfort as an office chair
I am undecided between this chair and the eames management to pair with my nelson desk. aesthetically, I prefer the nelson chair, especially because my office at home is in an open plan with my living room. Does anyone have experience with the nelson chair as an office chair and can speak about how comfortable it is?
