This ergonomic office chairs highly technical structures—such as the spine-like Backfit, with its visible H-flexors—show how it bends to encourage seated movement. I use this chair in two basic modes: 1) at my desk for computer work, reading, and writing 2) tilted back a bit with my feet propped up on my paper shredder just to read a book (or on iPad). Bottom line - the chair does a fantastic job for these two purposes & except for the tilt limiter which is a bit clunky allows you to adjust the chair in various configurations to maximize your comfort. The up-down control made of translucent plastic looks like a cheap shipping insert & is not intuitive. The manual is poorly written and the online videos help little. I paid extra for the carpet casters, but even on my low-cut pile office carpet, they still seem to hang up. What are the handles in the front for again? Are you hiding the online manual, or isn't there one?

Designers: Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick. Its the most well-known ergonomic office chair ever made. With good reason. As the first to replace fabric and foam with a breathable, woven suspension membrane—its innovative Pellicle seat and back—Aeron distributes your weight evenly, eliminating pressure points and heat buildup. The Kinemat tilt lets you recline fluidly, and PostureFit puts support where you need it most while seated—at the base of your spine.
Aeron Chair-Standard Tilt vs. Tilt Limiter
The standard tilt description states that it allows the chair to recline. How far does the chair recline? And by contrast, if one were to get the Tilt Limiter option, how restrictive is the tilt?
rough approximation ~ 20 degrees -- the tilt limiter allows you to limit the tilt variably from zero thru about 20 degrees; the control works & I use it (to tilt back and read a book), but is clunky and not well designed

simply press down (towards the floor) on the cheap looking little translucent plastic toggle in the much larger handle that sticks out on the right & if you are sitting in the chair, you will go down!
