Designer: Studio 7.5. Mirra 2 moves with you, at one with your body. When you sit, the seat and back adapt to you instantly. With dynamic surfaces that respond to your slightest movements and simple, intuitive adjustments to fine-tune the fit, this office chair balances immediate comfort and personalized ergonomics in one sophisticated design.

Can I add options later?

If I get the base model Mirra 2 can I order and install the optional adjustments at a later time if I determine that I want them?
(I can only offer you my experience about the Aeron chair.) The short answer is "no". Herman Miller does not sell the chair parts separately in the retail channel. There was one furniture dealer who sold genuine parts for the Aeron chair years ago, but it has closed. It is very possible that some other dealers may do this. With that said, with the correct parts, replacement was pretty easy. It took me about 30 minutes to replace the back on the Aeron I bought used.
